We have created the verification process to help build trust in our community and enable you to provide reassurance to homeowners when they are deciding who should care for their home and pets while they are away.
We provide two levels of verifications. Once you have completed the Basic level (email address, phone number check, and external references) you'll be able to progress to the Standard level verification which is made up of:
- Identity check
- Visual ID document check
Sitters are asked to provide a visual document of an identification document - for example, a passport, driving licence or National Identity Card. Identification checks are then performed on their chosen document to ensure that they are valid, including cross-checking databases to ensure that they have not been reported as lost, stolen or compromised.
How to get your Standard level verification:
Once you have completed the Basic Level you will be able to start the Standard level verification
- Log in to your TrustedHousesitters dashboard via the desktop website
- Click your name in the top right corner
- Click 'Verifications'
- Select 'Standard level'
- Follow the on-screen instructions to start the check.
- Please know you will need to have a phone that is able to take photos to be able to complete the check
