Sitters are responsible for monitoring and maintaining the welfare of the owner’s pet during a sit. This includes sticking to the pet’s normal routine and performing any special requirements, such as administering medication. All details of the pet's routine and requirements should be communicated by the owner and agreed to by the sitter before the sit starts.
Owners remain financially responsible for the pet during the sit, and so must ensure that there are adequate provisions in place. This includes food and veterinary care, and owners should permit sitters the authority to obtain veterinary care in the event of an emergency.
