You may have a particular sitter in mind that your pets previously bonded with, or a member who applied to another sit of yours who you liked the sound of. Well, now is the time to invite these members privately, without sharing your dates with the rest of the TrustedHousesitters community. 

To invite a sitter privately via the website:

• Log into your account, click on your profile photo in the top right-hand corner and select 'Inbox'
• Click on the member you wish to send a private invite to
• On the right-hand side, scroll down to 'Send an Invite' and select the button below 'Invite' 
• Click 'Add a new date' using the calendar, select your desired dates and continue
• Remember to swipe right to make the dates private, confirm and publish 
• Next up, write a message inviting the member to the private dates; once complete, click 'Send Invite'

Once you have successfully sent a private invitation, sit back, relax and wait for the member to get back to you.

If you wish to withdraw a private invitation, just click the 'Withdraw invite' button located in the conversation on the right-hand side. The sitter will be notified that you are no longer looking for a sitter for these dates. 

To invite a sitter privately via the app:

• Log into your account via the app and select the inbox at the bottom of the page
• Click on the sitter you wish to invite 
• Once you're in the conversation, select the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select 'Invite to sit'
• Click 'Add private' and select the dates of the sit
• You can now send a message along with these dates to the sitter and click 'continue'
• Click 'Send the invite' and the sitter will receive a private invitation

Top tip: You can't invite a member who already has a confirmed sit
