As part of the code of conduct that all members commit to, both pet parents and sitters agree not to cancel a sit unless faced with extraordinary circumstances. This mutual agreement means it’s rare that pet parents cancel. If they do, they must let you know as soon as possible and provide their reason.
If the reason for the cancellation is not due to 'extraordinary circumstances' or if you feel the reason for this cancellation requires further investigation, just let us know. We have a duty to uphold our Code of Conduct for the benefit of all members and so we need to be made aware of situations like these.
If a pet parent ever cancels a sit, be sure to ‘unconfirm' them in your messages with pet parent. You'll then be able to look for other, more suitable sits available on the site.
Trusted tip: We also recommend exploring and reaching out to other pet parents, as well as reconsidering other sits you have previously applied to; they'll all be in your inbox.
