When a sitter applies to sit for you, we always recommend that you open up a conversation with them and consider their application. You never know; your perfect sitter might be the one who hasn't completed any sits yet and you could give them that first opportunity.
However, if you're still wishing to decline a sitter, follow the steps below
To decline a sitter via the website:
- Log into your account, click on your profile photo in the top right-hand corner and select 'Inbox'
- In your inbox will be all the sitters who have sent an application and applied to your sit
- Once you have looked through all of the applicants and have decided on a sitter, you will see on the right-hand side under 'Current applications', 'Confirm offer' or Decline'
- Click 'Decline' - this will notify the sitter that they have been unsuccessful this time around
To decline a sitter via the app:
- Log into your account via the app
- Click on the inbox icon in the bottom bar
- Select the sitter you would like to decline
- Under 'Application from sitter', select 'Decline'
We would always encourage you, as a pet parent, to send a courtesy decline message to the sitter and thank them for their application. You never know; you might want to invite them for a future sit.
