Background checks are designed so that you can offer owners extra peace of mind when applying to take care of their pets and home. If you are a US-based sitter member, you can visit the verifications page to complete the check.

Apply for your background check via the website:

• Log into your account
• Click on your profile photo in the top right-hand corner 
• Select 'My Profile' from the menu 
• At the bottom to the right of the 'Your verifications' section, click 'Manage'
• Under the ‘Background Check’ section 
• Click ‘Start free background check’
• Next, follow the instructions given by Evident and fill in all the necessary information

Once submitted, our industry-leading partner, Evident, will complete the background check. We'll keep you updated on the status of your background check via email (you can also view the status of your application from the verifications page), but please do allow up to 7 days for the check to process.
